Several southbound lanes were blocked at around 2:15 p.m. on Oct. 7 on the interstate just past VA-294 (exit 158 / Prince William Parkway).

Two right lanes were blocked as of 2:30 p.m. on Monday, with traffic getting by one left lane, resulting in delays that were reported as more than a mile as smoke continued to billow from the tractor-trailer.

It is unclear what caused the fire, which remains under investigation.
